Installation Technician
Midnight Mansion is designing and building new concepts in immersive entertainment! Our vision is to leverage interactive art and unparalleled technology to delight guests and engage them in unique gameplay.
The Role
We are seeking several hands to serve as Installation Technicians to support our production team with load-in this summer at a new 12,000 square foot venue space. Responsibilities to include:
- Assisting with hanging & installation of theatre-style scenic flats
- Helping assemble pre-fabricated walls and props for themed exhibit rooms and interactions
- Helping maintain a safe and clean work area
Compensation & Schedule
- $20-25/hr depending on experience
- Early July - Late August project duration
- Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
- Can accommodate commitments of 2-5 days/week
Must-Haves
- Experience with basic power tools (drills, miter saw, sander, jigsaw, router, etc.)
- Familiarity with proper usage of basic woodworking hardware
- Ability to work at heights up to 10 feet on ladders or lifts
- Ability to lift and carry 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to commute to Needham, MA and Somerville, MA (primarily the latter)
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Must provide a completed Form W-9 prior to starting work
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with basic shop & tool safety practices
- Experience with table saw, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts
- Familiarity with rigging & lifting
