Midnight Mansion is crafting the next generation of location-based entertainment, combining interactive art, narrative gameplay, and tech-forward environments to bring unforgettable experiences to life.
We are looking for a Head of Operations to join Midnight Mansion as a founder-level partner and build the operational foundation for Edge of Elsewhere.
This is not a traditional employee position. It is a high-trust leadership role for someone who wants real ownership and meaningful influence at an early-stage company. You will work directly with the founders to turn a creative vision into a disciplined, scalable operating business.
You’ll work closely as part of leadership to own operations from start to finish:
Build and manage core operational systems and workflows
Lead internal processes across hiring, partnerships, and logistics
Set up scalable infrastructure
Identify gaps and bottlenecks, and propose solutions
Establish and refine operational procedures to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency
Collaborate with the finance function to develop and manage annual operating budgets
Act as a founder-level partner in decision-making
This position will need to have an in-person presence at both our studio in Needham, MA and our upcoming venue location in Somerville, MA.
You are entrepreneurial and excited to build a company from 10 people to 100
A strong operator with experience running teams, projects, and/or organizations
You’re not afraid of ambiguity, bringing structure where needed but you aren’t overly rigid
You are excited by the intersection of technology, story, and experience
Background in themed entertainment, scenic design & fabrication studios, or similar creative production is a plus
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; we are unable to sponsor applicants for work visas at this time
This is a founder-track role with real ownership from day one. Compensation begins with meaningful equity, aligned with the other founders who are currently building the company without salary. When the venue opens, you’ll begin receiving regular cash compensation as revenue comes online, with a clear path to a salaried leadership role as we scale.

The expectation is full-time, but we’re open to a structured ramp-up for the right person.
